Included with the March edition of e-HUM (the electronic edition of
the
Hoosier UM News) you may have noticed the latest addition, the e-HUM
Bulletin Insert. The Hoosier UM News staff amusingly refers to the Bulletin
Insert as "news for the pews."
"What makes the Bulletin Insert unique is that it is written with the
first-time visitor in mind," according to Matt Carlisle, editor of e-HUM.
"The copy avoids 'churchspeak' and acronyms and provides up-to-date church news
as well as ways for those 'in the pews' to get involved. The e-HUM
Bulletin Insert is meant to compliment a church's Igniting Ministry initiative."
The e-HUM Bulletin Insert is a "quick read" digest containing short
news briefs and photos. It is a service of Indiana Area UMC Communications.
This black and white (pdf) download is available each month for Indiana
United Methodist churches to include in their Sunday bulletin or to distribute
as a handout.
Churches simply need to download and print the document.
Congregations may reproduce as many copies of the e-HUM Bulletin
Insert on their copiers as needed. The 5.5" by 8.5" finish size should fit most
bulletins. To view and download the latest edition of the e-HUM Bulletin
Insert, visit
www.inareaumc.org/e-hum_downloads.htm.
If you haven't signed up for e-HUM yet, simply send a blank e-mail from your
preferred e-mail account to add@inareaumc.org.
