Mission in Tennessee needs volunteers for mid-summer volunteer work

GRUNDY COUNTY, Tenn. - This summer, the Adults In Ministry (AIM) Major Home Repair program of Mountain T.O.P. is set to help eight impoverished families in rural Grundy County. These families are in dire need of repairs to their homes; two of the families need new houses constructed because their current dwellings are uninhabitable. Through this work, you can bring a sense of hope to the lives of these people.

However, unless enough participants come to be a part of the summer weeks, many of these jobs will have to be cancelled. The families will be put back on a waiting list until enough workers sign on. Volunteers can help keep this from happening by attending one of the following mission weeks: June 13-19, July 4-10 and July 18-24.

Most people reading this might say, "I don't have the skills needed to do this work." Neither did the Apostle Paul, nor any of Jesus' Disciples. Organizers say they have found that skill is not a requirement for this mission; willingness to serve is.

For more information and a video highlighting this mission work done at Mountain T.O.P. Contact Billy Hester at the Mountain T.O.P. office. Phone 615-298-1575 or by e-mail: billy@mountain-top.org.
