Bishop to lead Convocation on Evangelism Jan. 24
Bishop Woodie White's Convocations on Evangelism is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, 1225 Michigan Ave. in LaPorte, Ind.
This convocation is designed for individuals and teams of the Calumet and Michiana Districts but is open to other districts as well. Kurt Nichols, pastor of First UMC in Valparaiso will be the keynote speaker. Some 19 workshops on every aspect of congregational life will be available during two workshop sessions. Bishop White will lead closing worship.
Cost: $10 per person or maximum of $50 per church team including lunch. Registration deadline is Jan. 12. To register, call Calumet District office at 800-875-6548 or Michiana District office at 800-783-6216.
