Special needs give rise to The Bishop's Giving Club for Missions

Because of the rise of numerous specials needs and mission opportunities that are beyond conference plans or budgets, Indiana Bishop Mike Coyner believes Hoosier United Methodists need a means to respond quickly with additional mission funding. Working with both the Indiana North Conference and Indiana South Conference Councils on Finance and Administration, The Bishop's Giving Club for Missions has been established.

The Bishop's Giving Club for Missions is composed of individuals who have joined the Giving Club for Missions and have expressed their willingness to be asked once a year to make a special gift to a mission need or opportunity.

The invitation to make such a special gift will come from Bishop Coyner, after being approved by the Conference Councils on Finance and Administration. Once a special gift has been requested by Bishop Coyner, members of the Giving Club for Missions decide if they wanted to make a special donation to this special mission project or opportunity, and funds will be received by the respective Conference Office and Treasurer. While any size gift is welcomed, members of the Giving Club for Missions would anticipate giving from $500 to $1,000.

A reminder to participants that this special mission gift is to be in addition to their normal giving to their local church budgets and ministries would accompany each invitation to give through the Bishop's Giving Club for Missions program.

Members of the Bishop's Giving Club for Missions would be people who stand ready to respond when special needs arise.

You are invited to be one of the 1,000 members of the Bishop's Giving Club for Missions. If you wish to accept this invitation, please complete this form and mail to the address given. Thank you for your support to meet the special needs of missions in the future.
