Special Sunday Offerings support multitude of ministries
Here is a list of the remaining 2006 United Methodist Special Offering Sundays coming your way. Remember, these important offerings fund mission and ministries that depend solely on your generosity.

April 30 - Native American Ministries Sunday, to recognize the contributions of Native Americans to society, offering funds, Native American ministries, Urban Initiative and Native American seminary scholarships.

June 11 - Peace with Justice Sunday, to call the church to action for peace with justice; offering funds for conference and General Board of Church and Society peace with justice ministries.

Oct. 1 - World Communion Sunday, to call the church to be universal and inclusive; offering funds for Crusade and Ethnic Scholarships and Ethnic-In-Service Training.

Nov. 26 - United Methodist Student Day, to call the church to support students as they prepare for life in uniting faith with knowledge; offering funds for student scholarships and loans.
Other optional offerings at times determined by conferences and congregations include: Christian Education Sunday, Disability Awareness Sunday, Golden Cross (health and welfare) Sunday and Rural Life Sunday. Option Sundays without offerings include: the International Day of Prayer for the Prosecuted Church and Men's Ministry Sunday.
