Art, hymn sought for 2006 South Indiana Annual Conference
The South Indiana Conference Committee on Annual Conference Session invites artists and musicians/composers to submit an original work for 2006 Annual Conference. The art design chosen will appear on the cover of the 2006 Conference Journal and as a banner during the 2006 Annual Conference. The hymn or song will be sung during Annual Conference. The theme for Annual Conference is "Stewards of God's Grace" with the Scripture passage: "We have this treasure in clay jars, so that it may be made clear that this extraordinary power belongs to God and does not come from us" 2 Corinthians 4:7.

Artists are invited to submit artwork, reflecting the theme, in two forms: 1. A black-and-white line art or printer-ready copy for the cover design of the Pre-Conference and Annual Conference Journal. 2. The same design in full color, suitable for a banner. Your design must be easily translated from black and white to color. The full color design will be used on a banner over the I.U. Auditorium stage. Submitted designs must be 8 1/2" x11" or 11" x 14". All submitted work must have the artist's name, address, phone and e-mail address written on the back. NO signatures or names on the front of the art work.

Musician/composers are invited to submit a hymn or song, reflecting the theme, in one of three forms: 1. Original text written to an existing tune that does not have a copyright, e.g.: a folk melody. 2. Original text written with an original tune that is easily learned and sung. 3. Original text written with an original tune and complete accompaniment
Mailing deadline for both is February 17, 2006. Please mail your art submissions to: The Rev. Lynn Renne, Annual Conference Session Committee, SONG for 2006 ANNUAL CONFERENCE, 5130 Lincoln Ave., Evansville IN 47715. All submissions become the property of the Annual Conference Session Committee unless accompanied by a self-addressed stamped envelope. The artist whose work is selected will be notified by mail in March.
