Schools of Christian Mission follow theme of 'Harvesting Peace' this summer in Manchester and IndianapolisBoth Indiana Schools of Christian Mission will follow the theme of 'Harvesting Peace" during each conference's learning events in July. Both are using James 3:18 as their key verse: "A harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace." This year's studies in both conferences includes: Globalization: Its impact in our lives, Shalom-Peace-Salaam and a study on the countries of India and Pakistan. The North Indiana Conference school will be held at Manchester College near Manchester, Ind. The Drive-in-Day is scheduled for Wednesday, July 12 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The regular School of Christian Mission will run Thursday, July 13 through Saturday July 15. It will run concurrently with SCM's Fun and Fabulous Children's Program: Chi-Mi-Ca for ages 3rd through 4th grades; and Young People's Mission Camp: Yo-Pe-Mi-Ca for youth in middle school through age 17. The school includes: Wonderful accommodations, inspirational worship, variety of learning opportunities and is designed for women, men, youth and children - a program for every age and study for every interest. The South Indiana Conference school will be held at the University of Indianapolis the weekend July 14-15 or the weekday school July 16-19. Youth and Children's classes will be held during the Weekday School. The school is sponsored by the South Indiana Conference United Methodist Women.
