North Central Jurisdiction congratulates Indiana conferences on Advance record givingThe North Central Jurisdiction Advance mission outreach, above and beyond Church World Service askings, congratulated both the Indiana South and North Conferences for their excellent giving in 2005 to The Advance for Christ and His Church. North Central Jurisdiction Field Representative Wayne Rhodes, Jr., extended his congratulations to the South Indiana Conference for increasing giving to The Advance by 253 percent in 2005 in which 83 percent of its churches participated to set a new conference record of $2.34 million. South Indiana also lead the jurisdiction by having the highest percentage increase in number of churches giving to The Advance. The conference will receive two plaques to commemorate their feat during the upcoming conference sessions in Bloomington June 8-10. Rhoades also extended his congratulations to the North Indiana Conference for increasing giving to The Advance by 139 percent in 2005 in which 92 percent of its churches participated to set a new conference record of giving to The Advance in the amount of $2.57 million. The conference will receive a Certificate for Excellence for their accomplishment during the upcoming conference sessions in West Lafayette June 1-3. "Please accept my admiration for being a conference where your local churches' extraordinary generosity personifies John Wesley's description of money as 'an excellent gift of God, answering the noblest ends,'" Rhoades wrote both conferences in his announcement letter.
