Materials for World AIDS Day available
Each year World AIDS Day is observed on Dec. 1. It is time now to order materials for special programs and religious worship services that focus on intercessory and healing prayers, love and compassion in the midst of the HIV/AIDS pandemic.
Now is the time to plan an event on or near Dec. 1 for the sake of the millions of people affected and infected by this virus. It also is an excellent time to promote the United Methodist Global AIDS Fund, a new fund to support AIDS projects around the globe. Information about this Global AIDS Fund can be found at the Web site listed.
Churches in Indiana can focus on special offerings to give to The Hope Fund or on UMCOR Advance #982345 that goes to the Global Fund for AIDS, TB and Malaria. Materials are available from UNAIDS, the General Board of Church and Society (www.umc-gbcs.org) and the General Board of Global Ministries.
