United Methodist Student Day, Nov. 26
The annual observance of United Methodist Student Day is Sunday, Nov. 26. Thanks to our connectional system and the people called "United Methodist," more than 3,000 students received a scholarship or loan to attend undergraduate or graduate school this fall. The annual observance of United Methodist Student Day is Sunday, Nov. 26. This is one of the six Sundays mandated by the denomination as a special Sunday with offering. The Student Day offering you gave last year has helped 59 students from churches in the Indiana Area by providing scholarships and loans. Altogether, $76,744 was distributed by the General Board of Higher Education and Ministry in Indiana given by church members like you from the Student Day offerings last year. The student recipients were active in their local United Methodist churches, some of them were also active at the district or conference level. Of those students attending United Methodist-related schools in Indiana, nine are at the University of Indianapolis, seven at the University of Evansville and four at DePauw University in Greencastle. Ten of the recipients are in seminary. Let us continue to provide the scholarship and loan assistance to our students entering college, graduate schools or seminaries. Give generously to the United Methodist Student Day offering on Sunday, Nov. 26.
