CONSTANCE (CONNIE) BOWMAN, wife of the Rev. Donald S. Bowman (NIC), died Aug. 20, 2006. Two memorial services were held , one Aug. 24 at Friendship Village, Ariz. and one Sept. 7 at Dayspring UMC in Tempe, Ariz. Survivors include: husband, Donald Bowman; daughters, Bethanne, Melanie and Holly; and son, Brice Bowman. Condolences may be sent to the Rev. Donald Bowman, 2625 E Southern Ave, Unit C071, Tempe, AZ 85282-7651. EVAN DALE BURNWORTH, brother-in-law of the Rev Brenda Burnworth (NIC) died Aug. 17, 2006. A memorial service was held Aug. 19 at the Evans Funeral Home in Columbus, Ohio with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Condolences may be sent to the Rev. Brenda Burnworth and her husband Rick, P.O. Box 305 Swayzee, IN 46986-0305. NEVA DICKEY, widow of the late Rev. James Dickey (NIC), died Friday, Aug. 11, 2006. She was the Administrative Assistant for the Fort Wayne District. A memorial service was held Aug. 15 at the Bethel UMC, 8405 Lima Road in Fort Wayne. BILL EARLEY, retired pastor (SIC), died Aug. 12, 2006. A memorial service was held Aug. 16 at Franklin Community in Franklin, Ind. Survivors include: wife Opal Earley, 1070 W. Jefferson St., Franklin 46131; three daughters; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. KATHRYN ECCLES, spouse of the Rev. Robert Eccles, retired (SIC), died Aug. 24, 2006. A memorial service was held Aug. 28 at Gobin Memorail UMC, Greencastle, Ind., with burial preceding the public memorial service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Greencastle. Survivors include: husband, the Rev. Robert Eccles, 817 Stadium Dr., Greencastle, IN 46135; Sons, Bruce and Tom; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. ELEANOR F. FOULKE, wife of the Rev. Kenneth E. Foulke (NIC), died Aug. 22, 2006. A memorial service was held Aug. 26 at Calvary UMC, Syracuse, Ind. Survivors include: husband, Kenneth E. Foulke; two daughters, Sharon (Larry) Johnson of Silvis, Ill. and Margaret (Pat) Foulke-Evans of Milwaukee, Wisc.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Condolences can be sent to the Rev. Survivors include: wife Sue Hawkins, 4008 Evergreen Dr., Benton, AR 72015; one son; and two stepsons. GRETCHEN HAYDEN, wife of the Rev. Ernest Hayden, oldest living pastor in the South Indiana Conference, died July 7, 2006. A memorial service was held July 10 at the Bittles and Hurt Funeral Home in Greencastle, Ind., with burial in the Waynetown Cemetery. Survivors include: husband, the Rev. Ernest Hayden, 102 W. Poplar St. #305, Greencastle, IN 46135. MILDRED LITTLE, surviving spouse of the late Rev. Frank Little (SIC), died Aug. 24, 2006. A memorial service was held Aug. 27 at Saint Matthew UMC, Frankfort, Ind., with burial in Kilmore Cemetery also in Frankfort. Survivors include: sons, C. David Little, 1323 E. Tulip Tree Dr., Frankfort, IN 46041; John Little and Paul Little; daughter, Christine Zisch, nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. DORTHEA HELEN (SHROCK) LITTLER, widow of the late Rev. Donald Elbert Littler (NIC), died July 10, 2006. A memorial service was held July 13 at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home in Syracuse, Ind., with burial in the Syracuse Cemetery. Survivors include: two daughters, Sandra Joy Hellwege of New Haven, Ind., and Alma Sue Farmer of Plainfield, Ind.; one son, John Littler of Green Valley, Ariz., seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one sister, Evelyn Lavrenz of Plainfield, Ind. Memorials can be given in her memory to Advocate Hospice, 2605 E. Main St., Danville, IN 46122 or Oakwood Christian Leadership Academy, Inc., 1111 Conklin Hill Dr., Syracuse, IN 46567. DOROTHY MAHAN, wife of the Rev. Chester Mahan and mother of the Rev. Ken Mahan, died Aug. 9, 2006. A memorial service will be held Sunday, Sept. 17, at 2:30 pm, in the Amanda Reid Memorial Chapel at Wesley Manor, 1555 N. Main, Frankfort, Ind. Calling will be from 1:30 to 2:30 prior to the service. Other survivors include: one son, John; and a daughter, Deborah. Memorials can be made to Wesley Manor or Hospice. Condolences can be sent to the Rev. Chester Mahan, 1555 N. Main St., Frankfort, IN 46041. DON RHOADES, brother of the Rev. Karen Rhoades, pastor of Monterey and Leiters Ford UMCs (NIC), died July 23, 2006 in Columbia City, Ind. Other survivors include: wife, Ann; two children, Todd Rhoades and Pam Kethcart; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A memorial service was held July 26 at the Smith Funeral Home in Columbia City. Condolences can be sent to the Rev. Karen Rhoades Welling, P.O. Box 126, Leiters Ford, IN 46945-0126. JACK SMITH, husband of the Rev. Elizabeth Gordon-Smith (SIC), died July 8, 2006. A memorial service was held July 12 at the Honey Creek UMC in Greenwood, Ind. with burial in Anderson Cemetery, Indianapolis. Survivors include: wife, the Rev. Elizabeth Gordon-Smith, 2288 S. Honey Creek Rd., Greenwood, IN 46143; three daughters; six grandchildren. Memorials contributions include a teddy bear for donation to Bears on Patrol in Greenwood, Ind. RETHA LUCILLE HERRON SMITH, clergy widow (NIC), died June 12, 2006. A memorial service was held June 17 at the Faith UMC in Kendallville, Ind. She was preceded in death by her son, Sgt. 1st Class Thomas Allen Bowers; her brother, the Rev. Everett Herron; three husbands - the Rev. John Tomas Bowers, the Rev. James Campbell and the Rev. Chester Smith. Survivors include: two sisters, Marie Schwartz and Betty Ohlwine, both of Kendallville and a daughter, Karolyn Kaye Clark, of Topeka, Kan. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith UMC, P.O. Box 783, Kendallville, IN 46755-0783 for the air conditioning fund. Condolences can be sent to Karolyn Kaye Clark, 3104 SW Grand Ct., Topeka KS 66614. BETTIE JEAN STEVENS, wife of retired pastor, the Rev. Russell L. Stevens (NIC), died July 22, 2006. A memorial service was held on July 26 at Grosse Pointe UMC, Grosse Pointe Farms, Mich. Survivors include: husband, Russell; three children, Candace Job of Clinton Township, Cynthia Hedrick of Carey, N.C. and Russell Stevens of Tellico Plains, Tenn.; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Siefferlien of Port Richey, Fla. Condolences can be sent to the Rev. Russell L. Stevens, 36725 Utica Rd., Apt. 309, Clinton Township, MI 48035-1052. PAUL TRUMBAUER, retired pastor (SIC), died Aug. 6, 2006. His brother is the Rev.
