BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Two significant personnel changes have been made
in the South Indiana United Methodist Conference Center.
Indiana Area Bishop Michael J. Coyner has announced that the Rev.
Deborah Cronin, an associate council director, was moved Nov. 10 from
her appointment at the South Indiana Conference Center and appointed to
Spiritual Renewal Leave. The decision to relieve her of her duties at
the conference office was made by the Conference Council on Ministries
Personnel Committee.
During Cronin's absence, much of her work will be covered by the
Revs. Robert Sharp, council director, Gary Schaar, associate council
director, and David V. W. Owen, director of congregational development.
Cronin was appointed associate council director on Oct. 15, 2001.
In a separate unrelated action this week, Brent Wilson, South Indiana
Conference Treasurer and Director of Administrative Services, resigned
his position. His resignation was accepted by the SIC Council on Finance
and Administrative Personnel Committee on Nov. 16 and was effective
immediately. Wilson served the conference for 11 years.
The committee also announced that support staff member Jennifer
Gallager will serve as Interim Treasurer.
Bishop Coyner asks that members of the South Indiana Conference
remember in their prayers the Rev. Cronin, Mr. Wilson and the staff of
the conference during this time of transition.
