CTS sponsors counseling workshop on intimacy
INDIANAPOLIS -- Christian Theological Seminary has scheduled a special
one-day counseling workshop titled "Working with Intimacy in the
Here-and-Now: Experiential Training in Group Work" for Saturday, Oct.
16.
Workshop sessions (from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.) are designed for
therapists, chaplains and other mental health professionals who want to
help people deepen their capacity for emotional intimacy. Experiential
and didactic sessions will be included.
Workshop leaders will be Dr. K. Brynolf (Bernie) Lyon and Karis
Klassen. Lyon is professor of practical theology and pastoral care and
director of advanced professional studies at CTS. He is an
Indiana-licensed mental health counselor and a nationally certified
counselor. Klassen also is licensed in Indiana as a mental health
counselor and a marriage and family therapist. She has been in private
practice since 1992.
The workshop cost $100 which includes lunch. The event will be
