Gayle Felton to lead sacraments seminar at DePauw on
Sept. 23
Dear Colleagues in Ministry,
A week from this coming Saturday, Sept. 23, the Rev. Dr. Gayle
Felton, one of the scholarly leaders of our church in the area of the
Sacraments, will be conducting a one-day seminary on Baptism and Holy
Communion. With a renewed emphasis upon Communion and the coming of
World Communion Sunday on Oct. 1, this would be an opportune time for
pastors and other worship leaders to update their knowledge about the
meaning of the Sacraments in the life of the church.
I served on the Holy Communion Study Committee with Gayle, and so I
have a deep appreciation of her leadership.
I remind and invite you that this important seminar is coming soon in
the life of the South Indiana Conference. A lunch will be served. Please
register for the “Sacraments in Our Faith Journey” seminar TODAY by
contacting Misty Boswell (mboswell@sicumc.org) or Sandy Harlan (sharlan@sicumc.org)
in the South Indiana Conference Center. Call toll-free 800-919-8160.
Thank you for considering this continuing education opportunity.
