January 15, 2008 Volunteers needed in Monticello areaPlease share this information with those who can find a day or two to help with flood cleanup in North Indiana Conference. Volunteers really do make a difference. Monticello and White CountyPastor Brian Beeks has indicated that teams of volunteers will be needed to help with the cleanup and recovery of the homes damaged by flood waters. Approximately 200 families have been displaced by the flooding. A number of other families have damaged homes but have been able to remain in them. Volunteers will be needed for the next 6 months if not longer. Please contact the Monticello UM Church office Monday through Friday; 8 a.m.-4 p.m. (Eastern) to schedule a time, ask questions, and indicate your willingness to serve.
